KCRW DJs Anthony Valadez and Garth Trinidad will join Swedish band Little Dragon as the musical talent to kick off the Natural History Museum’s First Fridays series in 2011. The show, on January 7, 2011, will have one more musical act that is yet to be announced.

Little Dragon is a longtime KCRW favorite – they made their U.S. debut here and played our Halloween Ball last year—and it will be fascinating to see them create their soulful electro music in this venue.

Last year, every single show in the series was packed so I recommend 1) buying tickets in advance once they are available and 2) get there early! They have activities at the museum starting at 5:30pm, with tours and lectures from fascinating minds in the science world. I’m particularly interested in guest Jonah Lehrer, who will talk about “The Science of Creativity.”
