We’ve covered some of Mr. T’s solo work (he’s also one half of Cosmic Kids) in this spacebefore, but his most recent work might be his best yet.
In addition to his fantastic production work, Daniel.T.’s Chit Chat Records imprint has also put out an excellent 12″ of Brazilian Disco edits that I highly recommend. It features work by Poolside and Fatnotronic and you can stream that in full here.
ILoveMakonnen – Drink More Water 5 [Mixtape]
Last year around this time, ILoveMakonnen was a mostly anonymous bedroom artist.
Then “Club Goin’ Up On ATuesday” blew up the internet last summer, he got a Drake co-sign, and now he’s playing sold out shows all over the country and doing cool stuff like receiving gifts from Nardwuar. Yada, yada, yada.
This week, ILoveMakonnen dropped his first new mixtape since his meteoric rise and it is pretty great. It’s the fifth installment of his Drink More Water series and probably his most complete mixtape to date.
Drink More Water 5 is available as a free download and features guest spots from Atlanta heavyweights Migos, Gucci Mane, and Rome Fortune, among others.

Norwegian producer Kygo seems like a guy that’s on the brink of a big breakout 2015. On his remix of “Sexual Healing” he cranks up the tropical vibes to 10.
