GIVERS by Larry Hirshowitz

The GIVERS performance was nothing short of exhilarating and, as Morning Becomes Eclectic host Jason Bentley mentioned, lead singer/guitarist Taylor Guarisco plays like a man possessed.

Taylor says the group grew out of a very supportive music community in Lafayette, Louisiana – which he describes as more like a family than a scene. He says the met as friends, which is a healthy start for any kind of band, and are playing the music they love. That explains the clear optimism and unabashed joy of their music.

They got a head start when the Dirty Projectors took them on tour and a huge vote of confidence when they were signed to Glassnote Records (home to Phoenix, Two Door Cinema Club, Mumford & Sons, Temper Trap etc…)

This set was a really nice surprise given I knew very little about them. Watch them rock it out on “In My Eyes” below!
