KCRW’s performance studio – from Tom Waits and Nina Simone to Arcade Fire and Adele – is truly mind boggling.

When artists walk into that space, something special happens. They’ll often throw in a new song or a cover or maybe just exceptional versions of the songs we already know and love.

There is no denying that live performance is the true test of any band.

We see the best of the best and, for our Fall Membership Drive, we’ve collected 29 of our favorite songs recorded for Morning Becomes Eclectic that are now available with your donation! (Some were recorded for us at other studios we love, like the Village and Bob Clearmountain’s Apogee Studio)

We’re so excited to share these with you and a HUGE thank you to the bands for letting us do so!

For a $120 donation to the station, you’ll get a reusable 2 GB USB drive chock full of aural goodies, with tracks from Vampire Weekend, The National (a special acoustic performance), Phantogram, Queens of the Stone Age, Jagwar Ma, Devendra Banhart, Toro y Moi, Pet Shop Boys and more. Buy the drive here.

See the full tracklist below and stream tracks from two of the best live bands touring right now – War on Drugs and White Denim. They are phenomenal and must be seen to be believed!
