Upcoming Live Performances on MORNING BECOMES ECLECTIC with host JASON BENTLEY

Tuesday, August 11, Longtime KCRW favorite Hot Chip returns to share songs from their latest album “Why Make Sense?”. They’re not afraid to tackle complicated emotions and be vulnerable, which is extra impressive since it’s also one of the best dance records of the year.

Thursday, August 13, Ratatat’s 5th studio album “Magnifique” — their first in five years — is a return to their core guitar-driven sound after the sonic experimentation of their last two records. We’ll bring you a live session with the Brooklyn duo recorded at Sonos Studio.

Friday, August 14, Producer Jamie xx burst onto the music scene as part of the highly successful group The xx and finally released his solo debut earlier this year. It’s a dazzling collection of songs and is among the most played albums of the year at KCRW. We welcomed Jamie xx for a DJ set at Sonos Studio that is sure to get your weekend started right!

August 18, Tobias Jesso Jr released his debut full length album of gut wrenchingly beautiful and powerful piano ballads this Spring. Many of them were reflections on a turbulent time he time spent in LA and we’re happy to have him here in studio to share them.

August 21, Seductive, soulful and filled with swagger, Odd Future affiliate Syd tha Kyd leads an incredible group of LA musicians known as The Internet. Their new album “Ego Death” is a big statement for a young band and we host them for a live set.
