Cat Cora is fierce in “kitchen stadium”, home to the Food Network’s Iron Chef competitions. I get the most joy out of watching her compete, not just because she is the lone female Iron Chef, but because I can see a determination in her that I simply don’t see in everyone else. I definitely had expectations for her music choices — and I was definitely wrong!

Cat Cora on KCRW’s Guest DJ Project by KCRW

Cat is a romantic and it quickly became clear that all the love in her family and her home offsets her ambitions in the kitchen. She dedicates songs to her wife and their four kids, touches on her Greek heritage and also shares the first song she ever sang in front of an audience — Rod Stewart’s “You’re in My Heart”.

Check it out here.
