Jason Bentley commented first and foremost on James Vincent McMorrow’sintensity. He voice is truly stunning and, when he sings, you can tell he is entirely in the moment. He says he’s “thinking about the next lyric and no further beyond that.”

He really impressed me at our SXSW showcase earlier this year, with a full band behind him, and even more so on Morning Becomes Eclectic with just him and a guitar.

“Sparrow & The Wolf” is one of the few upbeat tracks on his debut album but he slowed it down for his live set and it was nice to hear the reworked version.

Check out his full set in the archives.
