The folks behind SXSW always have a few surprises up their sleeves that they announce the week before JUST to get us super excited.

Not only will Depeche Mode be making their first ever appearance at the conference this year, but our own Jason Bentley will be hosting a Q&A with them!!

Martin Gore, Dave Gahan and Andy ‘Fletch’ Fletcher will all be in attendance and they’ll chat about the band’s past, present and future, including their upcoming album, “Delta Machine”, and world tour.

The discussion will take place on Wednesday, March 13 at the Convention Center at 5pm and is open to all Music and Platinum badges, as well as Artist Wristbands. If you can’t be there in person, keep an eye out for photos and a transcript of the interview at NPR Musicand right here on the KCRW Music Blog.

“Delta Machine”, which was recorded over the last year in Santa Barbara, California and New York City, is due out on March 26 via Columbia Records and we are loving the first single

“Heaven“. Check it out.
