A major player in the New York City dance scene, Joe Clausell brought a full band to take on songs from the famed Fania catalogue. He told host Anne Litt about his fears in taking on those Latin classics and giving them a modern spin but I think all of us at KCRW agree it was a big success. Later that evening, he played for a big crowd in Downtown LA as part of Grand Performances, with Raul Campos hosting.
