KCRW Presents: February Is the New January

Ack, January is over. OVER! Let’s forget about how quickly it went by and focus on February. Mainly the first week, because there are three KCRW Presents shows I want to tell you about. Next Tuesday, February 2nd, Jamie Woon will be at the Troubadour. If you’re looking for some sexy grooves to wind down (or up) your Tuesday night, that’s the show for you. Here’s a track you’ll probably recognize if you’re an MBE listener:

Show number two is (Chris) Baio (of Vampire Weekend and not the one that just left the band btw) at the El Rey on February 4th. A bass player who creates dance tracks and DJs. If Thursdays are the new Fridays and bass players are the new dance track makers, then the El Rey is where you belong next week.

And finally show number three – Unknown Mortal Orchestra at the Fonda on February 3rd. It’s sold out. So yeah, nothing else left to say.
