KCRW Presents First Fridays with Little Dragon and Sister Crayon

Written by

KCRW favorites Little Dragon will headline the first show in the Natural History Museum’s 2011 First Fridays series, kicking off this Friday, January 7.

Not only is KCRW the radio sponsor, but Anthony Valadez will be the resident DJ in the African Mammal Hall lounge for the entire series, with special guest appearances by other DJs from KCRW each month. Garth Trinidad joins him this week.

Sister Crayon will begin the live performance portion of the evening starting at 8pm. Stream “Souls of Gold” off their forthcoming album “Bellow,” out on February 22.

NHM Flyer Jan 2011 copyLast year, every single show in the series was packed so I recommend getting there early! They have activities at the museum starting at 5:30pm, with tours and lectures from fascinating minds in the science world. I’m particularly interested in guest Jonah Lehrer, who will talk about “The Science of Creativity.”
