KCRW Presents: New Year, New You, New Shows

Written by

I, like many of you out there, am still writing 2018 instead of 2019. It’s okay, our brains will catch up soon. And, when they do, you’ll be ready to defrost your LA winter chill and head to San Diego for the CRSSD Festival. The spring edition is filled with many KCRW favorites and if you act now, you can buy tickets before it sells out.

CRSSD Festival with Jungle, Odesza, Phantogram, Tourist and more at San Diego’s Waterfront Park on Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3

Let me point you in the direction of Ólafur Arnalds. Ólafur is an Icelandic multi-instrumentalist and producer and he’ll be in town on February 1 for a show at the Orpheum Theatre. His music is quiet and introspective, and almost exclusively instrumental. Intrigued? You can listen to his latest album’s title track “re:member” and bathe in its soothing sounds.

And now your 15 day calendar of KCRW Presents events:

Thursday, January 17, Deerhunter at the Lodge Room – sold out!

Wednesday, January 23, Cautious Clay at the Troubadour  – sold out!
