KCRW DJ and Music LibrarianEric J Lawrence says Junior Boys’ new material might be their best yet. Now while the single “Banana Ripple” is 9 minutes long and, therefore, may not get a ton of airplay, I thought you might enjoy a mid week dance break.

Junior Boys – Banana Ripple by DominoRecordCo

There are certainly more songs on the horizon from the Canadian electro group, with their full length “It’s All True” out on Domino Records on June 14.

The band’s 2009 release “Begone Dull Care” was among my favorites of the year, after DJ Anne Litt got me obsessed with the song “Parallel Lines.” If anyone claims electronic music is short on emotion, this is one of the songs I would play them to counter the argument.
