We got a head start on playing the Superhumanoids here at KCRW thanks to a tip from Colin Stutz, frontman for The Franks andone of the musicians behind artist-owned indie label Hit City USA, which released their early EP.

Superhumanoids’ dreamy romantic pop grabbed me immediately and it’s the interplay of male-female vocals between Cameron Parkins and Sarah Chernoff that really seals the deal. It’s even more prominent in their new tunes like “Mikelah”, produced by Fool’s Gold guitarist Lewis Pesacov. When two talented groups of LA musicians come together, THIS is what happens.

You can find out more about purchasing the track here and check out the band THIS Friday, July 8 at the Skirball Center along withAutolux and KCRW”s own Anthony Valadez on the decks.
