The National has been through KCRW a few times (the last time was a special stripped down set due to a sick band member).

Now an LA resident, singer Matt Berninger made his latest visit to the station supporting EL VY, his side project with Brent Knopf (Ramona Falls/ Menomena)

After their set, he was climbing around in the stacks of KCRW’s Music Library and his brother Tom (who documented the band in the film “Mistaken for Strangers“) filmed it.

It’s hilarious. And Matt shares some of his favorite tunes among our massive collection.

A giant thanks to the Berninger Brothers.

p.s. the “thumbs up” came from me.
