Need to refresh your playlists ahead of holiday weekend hangs? You've come to the right place...

Mocky – “Infinite Vibrations”

Why so serious? Mocky invites you to discover your best-ever vibes with this charming, bubble-light single. Featuring multitudinous production that’s full-bodied without being busy (including some seriously delightful use of a harp), this track represents “Mocky’s obsessive quest to capture the ‘sound of humans.’” A.k.a, his response to the AI musical takeover. And it’s bound to be a success: this track is part of Mocky’s freshly released LP Music Will Explain (Choir Music Vol. 1) — his first for our dear pals over at Stones Throw Records.

Sam Austins – “Hot Like You”

Summer’s in full effect, but this track doesn’t need any seasonal help to stay hot. Declaring “no one gets me hot like you,” while maintaining one’s utter coolness is no easy feat… but Austins nails it in this casually sexy single. Combining relaxed exhibitionism with alt-indie stylings in the layered, lazy-twang production — this track’s one to get you unzipped.

PinkPantheress – “Tonight”

Are you one of those little freaks who listens to podcasts and watch videos on 1.5 speed? Good news, PinkPantheress saved you a click. In this baby-bop single the UK pop artist maintains a breakneck BPM while still managing to keep things confident-casual thanks to her breathy vocal style and hair-flip attitude. And Bridgerton fans are especially gonna LOVE the sumptuously costumed video.

Yumi Zouma – “Blister”

Yowza! Get your big fat alt-rock fix with this end-of-the-world single from New Zealand band Yumi Zouma. With wailing guitars, ear-wormy song construction and percussion that simply demands that you air-drum along, this blistering cut is an easy contender for song of the summer.

The Beaches – “Last Girls At The Party”

Brat summer may be last year’s news, but the bad girl vibes are here to stay. Lucky for all of us, Canadian four-top The Beaches are experts in the field. They bring a certain cheekiness to well-crafted indie rock, offering both musical prowess and a good ass time. RSVP yes to this single and watch for the album NO HARD FEELINGS (due August 29th via AWAL). P.S. If you’re really ready to commit, The Beaches play LA’s Wiltern Theater on October 18th.
