New Album from DJ Anthony Valadez Out This Week

Audio/Visual: Reworked, Recycled and Remixed is a remix album of my release last year on Philly indie label Recordbreakin’ Music. We combined some great remixes from some wonderful talent across the states to give their respective take on the original material, which allowed each track to take on a whole new life. I also wanted to include a few demo versions that did not make the album but that were personally special to me.

One of the standout tracks is “Letter To A Newborn” which is mainly a string and key instrumental. Later on I decided to add a spoken word piece that accompanied the mood of the strings. It only felt right that it would be a conversation between a Mother who is giving her newborn words of guidance that was nurturing but also real.

The album opens with the instrumental and concludes with the vocal version. It’s very dear to my heart because its something I wish my mother could have told me when I was young.

The original album had a lot of support from KCRW and I toured throughout the West Coast behind it.

I am very proud of this full length and amazed to hear these young talented producers from across the US reworking my original pieces. Check out the tracklist below and find out more info here!
