What music does the creator of Pee-Wee Herman listen to? I was so curious when I booked Paul Reubens on our Guest DJ Project and, I must say, I was a bit surprised to find out that he is a huge fan of R&B and soul. As he told KCRW DJ Mathieu Schreyer, he thinks Prince “is the sh*t.” “I grew up in the South. R&B is my real meat and potatoes thing “

The actor also shares the Michael Jackson track he used to pump up the comedy troupe The Groundlings before performances to the Chaka Kahn song he considers a perfect piece of music. He’ll be hitting Broadway soon as his classic character Pee-Wee Herman, bring the Playhouse to the stage at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in New York City from October 26 to January 2.
