For the last 14 years, Red Bull Music Academy has played a significant role in the maintenance of an aware and educated global music culture.
By hosting events and lectures with music legends like Steve Reich, Brian Eno, Todd Rundgren, DJ legends Frankie Knuckles and Larry Heard and newer artists like Caribou and Dam Funk, RBMA has defined and cast itself as a champion of savvy music culture.
Earlier this year, the brand launched it’s stunning “This City Belongs to Me” series, with an event featuring DJ Harvey. Later in the summer there was an event with Tokimonsta. Following that, an event celebrating local label, Friends of Friends.
To close out the series, this coming Friday, here in Los Angeles, RBMA has joined forces with party juggernaut A Club Called Rhonda.
Friday’s line up is a rager with Rhonda resident DJs Goddollars and Paradise, Running Back’s Gerd Janson (hands down one of the best DJs I’ve ever seen), Guy Gerber and one of the all time waviest dudes ever Seth Troxler.
As party line-ups go, this one promises to be a full-on burn-down-the-disco clapper.
