I first saw Brett Dennen many moons ago, opening for my friends ALO in Santa Barbara. It’s hard not to notice him, physically-speaking – he’s a very tall redhead with a babyface. A shy guy who sang pop songs so cute and sweet that they just didn’t seem to match his stature, as strange as that might sound.

But I loved his music right away and, in the years since, he seems to get better and better! KCRW’s Chris Douridas is among his biggest fans and he hosted him for a live performance a couple years back and he had a big hit on our airwaves with “Make You Crazy.”

Jason Bentley has been spinning his new single almost every day on Morning Becomes Eclectic so I’m sure you’ve heard the excellent “Sydney (I’ll Come Running)”

I cannot wait to hear more songs from the new album “Loverboy,” out April 12 on Dualtone Records, and I’m SO excited that he will be performing on March 16 as part of KCRW’s official day showcase at SXSW! See the full lineup here and his other tour dates below!
