I was talking to DJ Anne Litt about how certain bands hit you “below the waist” – and Chapel Club is one of those bands. (as is Anna Calvi, as artist Anne will be featuring in the weeks to come).

What else can I say – its sexy music! It has just the right amount of heaviness and weight to engulf you in the sound and block out everything else that might be going on around you.

We’ve been loving their EP, which features the very excellent “Widows” – an 8-minute song, which is pretty gutsy for an up and coming indie band.

Stream “Widows”

We’ve been spinning that song, as well as tracks off their full length debut “Palace,” like “Paper Thin.”

Stream “Paper Thin”

We’re featuring them on our SXSW showcase and predict big things so I wanted to share some audio treats!
