The Kooks made theirMorning Becomes Eclecticdebut last week and made it count by pretty much playing two sets of their greatest hits, mixing in songs from their new album, “Junk of the Heart”.

I’ve been a big fan of The Kooks since their early EPs. I think “Naive” is an undeniably great pop song, as is “Always Where I Need to Be” and “Ooh La”. A new track like “How’d You Like That” fits right in there and it was a treat to hear them all together.

These charming Brits were really fun in studio and it’s a great session worth checking out.

I should also note that it was announced today that they will be joining LA breakout band Foster the People for part of their tour next year! Details here.
