The Story of International Feel – Stream this Mix!

In celebration of his own “Sketches from an Island”LP release, International Feel label boss Mark Barrott has shared with KCRW an exquisite mix that digs into the bona fide label’s rich, sunburned discography.

This label is based on The White Island of Ibiza, the fertile crescent of rave and Balearica. It has been blessed by the Godfather of Balearica, Jose Padilla, who has stated “Now, this is Balearic.”

The label who coaxed DJ Harvey into the studio and released his “Locussolus“ album, has released 12″s by Quiet Village, Bubble Club, the extraordinary Gatto Fritto record (one of my personal favorites) and is slated to release Padilla’s first album of new work in almost a decade next year.

International Feel Recordings is keeping the wavy sun-drenched spirit alive and this mix features releases by the artists mentioned above, as well as Com Truise, Andrew Weatherall, Coyote and Frisvold & Lindbaek with Todd Terje.
