After kicking around the local LA scene as a standout buzz-band, it appears that all the pieces are falling in place for The Buttertones to breakout in 2020.

Today, the band announced they will release their forthcoming album Jazzhound out April 10th, via beloved LA-based label Innovative Leisure. With the announcement also comes the first single and title track.

"Jazzhound" is a reverb-y, post-punk tune that amalgamates their surf and garage rock influences into the special sound they’ve been developing over the years. The vocals on the track have a nostalgic 'Doors-ish' sensibility and overall has a darker and moody feel — but fun and very intriguing at the same time.

The band is currently on tour supporting Reverend Horton Heat and also have a run of spring dates that will find them in SoCal. If this first single is any indication, Jazzhound will be a solid album front-to-back. (Spoiler Alert: I’ve previewed it, and it is FIRE!)
