Nashville charmer Tristenbrought along her Buddy (yes, a guitarist named Buddy) to play a delightful set of tunes which included our favorites – “Matchstick Murder”, “Baby Drugs”, and “Eager for Your Love” – as well as a cover of Dolly Parton’s “Wildflowers”. Hearing Tristen sing it, I really got to focus on the lyrics…

I uprooted myself from home ground and left

Took my dreams and I took to the road

When a flower grows wild, it can always survive

Wildflowers don’t care where they grow

I have a feeling Tristen really connects to that track, given her conversation with Jason about growing up in Chicago and her move to Nashville to pursue music.

Check out the full performance and interview here.
