Upcoming Live Performances on MORNING BECOMES ECLECTIC with host JASON BENTLEY

Monday, May 3, Canadian composer Owen Pallett has written string arrangements for KCRW favorites like Arcade Fire and Grizzly Bear, but soars even higher in his stunning solo work. He brings his glorious arrangements and melodies to Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am.

Tuesday, May 4, Northern Ireland’s shining stars Two Door Cinema Club are stealing hearts as they tour the world behind their super catchy debut release. They’ll stop by KCRW studios for a live session and interview on Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am.

Friday, May 7, The Tallest Man on Earth is the moniker of Swedish musician Kristian Matsson, whose gravelly voice channels early Bob Dylan as he deftly picks his guitar and delivers his weighty songs. He’ll join Morning Becomes Eclectic for a live performance at 11:15am.

Tuesday, May 11, Nikki & Rich recall Brill Building-style pop with soul overtones on their debut release. They’ll share a romantic set of songs when they join Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am.

Thursday, May 13, Oscar winning producer Gustavo Santaolalla will lead the Argentine-Uruguayan electronic Tango collective known as Bajofondo in advance of their Disney Hall debut with a performance on Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am.

Friday, May 14, Flying Lotus is a renowned producer who launched a musical movement here in LA by expertly merging hip hop, psychedelic and dubstep sounds. He counts Thom Yorke among his many fans. Armed with his laptop, we’ll feature a live performance and interview on Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15AM.

Wednesday, May 19, Shout Out Louds offer their peppy Swedish pop when they join Morning Becomes Eclectic fora live session and interview at 11:15am.

Thursday, May 20, Seattle’s Minus The Bear have been making their way through the U.S. touring their polished, catchy songs. They’ll stop by KCRW studios to perform songs from their newly minted release “Omni” on Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am.

Friday, May 21, USA Today calls Scotland’s Frightened Rabbit a “must-see act” and we’ll get a chance to experience their anthemic, stadium-sized rock when they join Morning Becomes Eclectic for a live set at 11:15am.
