Conor J O’Brien

Conor J O’Brien is the musical mind behind Ireland’s latest export Villagers. There’s been no shortage of talented singer songwriters to come out of the Emerald Isle but Conor’s combination of bittersweet lyrics and extremely catchy tunes have him standing out in the crowd.

In his Morning Becomes Eclectic debut, Conor played songs off his new album “Awayland” without the comforts of his backing band. What we were left with was the flesh and bone of beautifully crafted songs and heartfelt lyrics.

Check out this live MBE version of Conor’s song, “Nothing Arrived”

It was a different take from what we’ve been hearing on MBE lately, but it was a refreshing look at a songwriter who has plenty to offer.
