Houston-born, NorCal-raised artist Seven Davis Jr. first came to the world's attention through a contribution to a compilation on Gilles Peterson's Brownswood label, which is a great place to start! But he has developed into a noteworthy artist in his own right, working with a future take of house and soul music. His debut album serves as both a terrific summation of his work to date and an introduction for the uninitiated.
