Burning Man, End of the Road and the Hollywood Bowl

Hosted by

I’m just back from Burning Man.  Call it Amazing, Transcendent or Bonkers, this festival is definitely unique. Located in the middle of nowhere in Nevada on a dry lake bed, Black Rock City is built each from scratch each year, attracts over 50,000 revelers, then disappears without a trace.

Highlights for me included meeting an amazing and diverse group of people who had flown in from Kabul, Beijing, Croatia, Australia UK and the US. I loved dancing to great house music at The Deep End each afternoon then at night  on the back of the gold duck art car to music by Breaks , watching the ski divers by night as they traced their descent  to earth with flames shooting from their feet, or riding on an wagon styled art car to see all of the amazing fire spewing structures and twinkling lights of Black Rock City .

I hope you’ve got your tickets for the End of the Road Festival as its now sold out although you might find some on Craig’s list or such like.  This boutique festival is held in the beautiful setting of Larmer Tree Gardens in the south of England and the line up  includes Calexico, Bon Iver, Mercury Rev and The Chap.
