For those of you who enjoy folk and bluegrass, go to Lyons near Denver for the18th Rocky Mountain Folks Festival August 15-17 where you can hear the diverse talents of Amos Lee, KT Tunstall, Jakob Dylan and Nanci Griffith. Its near the Rocky Mountain National Park so you can enjoy the spectacular local scenery as well as the festival.

And lastly thanks to Gaby who tipped me off about San Francisco’s Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival taking place August 22- 24th in the gorgeous Golden Gate Park.
The line up features Beck, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Rogue Wave, Café Tacuba , Regina Spektor and Bon Iver .
Each of the six stages for will be decorated by a visual artist giving a new spin on the term Outsider Art!
Great local food and wine will also be on offer in the Winehaven tent.
