London, Switzerland and Spain

Hosted by

What began in 2005 with 3 music fans joining forces has grown into the UK's Dot to Dot festival taking place in London, Bristol and the original city of Nottingham. Artists include Dirty Pretty Things, Spiritualized, Dan Deacon and Kissy Sell Out - the line up varies from city to city so you should check the website or their myspace page for who is on where.

Now we head to Switzerland for their annual Afro Pfingsten concert featuring a heady array of African artists such as Mory Kante, Kekele, Ismael Lo, Orchestra Baobab and Osibisa. There’s also film screenings and workshops– more than that I cannot tell you as the website is in German!

And now to Andalucia Spain for Rocket Festival held over the weekend of May 16th. Calling itself a celebration of life and alternative culture, Rocket features contemporary Spanish music,  DJs from all over the world, huge sculptures, holistic healing, circus and cabaret performers. The bill includes Spain’s Muchachito Bombo Infierno, Coldcut, and just added, UK’s Adam Freeland.  This year Rocket has a space theme, so if you’ve always wanted to dress up as a Jedi Knight or Barbarella, now is your chance. For those of you who want to be a DJ, submit your entry now for Stick it On and you could have your 15 mins of tune spinning fame.
