Everything But The Girl fans have two reasons to rejoice today.

The first is the release of Fuse, their first new album in 24 years, whose third single premiered on MBE this past Tuesday.

The second reason is KCRW’s unearthing of a long-unheard live session recorded in-studio for MBE in 1994. Recorded on the US tour for Amplified Heart, the set features typically lovely renderings of three songs from that album: “Troubled Mind,” “25 December,” and (of course) “Missing.” It also includes a harmonious cover of Sonic Youth’s “Kotton Krown,” as only Ben and Tracey could do it.

This session has languished in the archives since its original broadcast on December 5, 1994. You can listen to it via the player button on your left (above if on mobile).
