The moment that “No More Lies,” the new one off (for now) collaboration between Thundercat and Tame Impala, appeared in the KCRW inbox, this week’s number one record was a foregone conclusion. This dream team of vibes is also one of our 5 Songs to Hear this Week. What can we say? Sometimes a song just HITS, and must be shared across all platforms, as often as possible.

New and notable: French-psych darlings La Femme are feeling the Hawaiian spirit in the ramp-up to their forthcoming LP Paris-Hawï (due May 17 via Disque Pointu); Quadron’s Coco O. drops the über-sultry new single “Many Ways;” and goddess PJ Harvey shares the reflective “A Child’s Question, August,” ahead of her new album I Inside the Old Year Dying (due July 7 via Partisan Records).
