KCRW’s Top 30: Say She She, Melody’s Echo Chamber, Lady Wray

Brooklyn’s Say She She burst onto the scene earlier this year with their debut single “Forget Me Not.” A single so immediately ear-catching that it inspired KCRW DJ Jeremy Sole to declare: “This is the funkiest s**t I’ve heard in a while.”

We’ve eagerly devoured all of their subsequent standalone singles, and gratefully received the news that they’ll be dropping their debut album “Prism” on Oct. 7 via Karma Chief Records. Their latest single is the album’s disco-flavored-bubble-gum of a title track, and KCRW DJs can’t get enough.

Elsewhere, tastes are veering toward a previously “lost” Melody’s Echo Chamber album produced by Kevin Parker (Tame Impala), and welcome resurgences from Lady Wray and Stromae.
