KCRW’s Top 30 chart: February 27 - March 5, 2023

Wholesome family portrait vibes from the world’s most beloved cartoon band, Gorillaz. Photo by J.C. Hewlett.

Our perennial favorites have fallen at last. With their respective albums Raven, and Let’s Start Here out long enough now to have fully made the rounds, Kelela and Lil Yachty each move down several rungs to make way for the new.

The world’s foremost cartoon band Gorillaz have finally claimed the number one spot that they’ve been circling for weeks. Seductively experimental, R&B maven Kali Uchis’ Red Moon in Venus bounces back into our orbit in a big way following its late February release. Plus, Adi Oasis, Masego, and Fred again.. are all exactly the sort of high voltage acts our fair list has been waiting for.
