KCRW’s Top 30: Stella Explorer, Liv.e, and Grammy nom celebrations

It’s beginning to look a lot like a major American holiday revolving around shortened work weeks, food comas, and watching a big parade in one’s pajamas. But before we surrender to all of that, there’s a new Top 30 chart to explore. 

You’ll find a lot of familiar material here as we start to lean into our forthcoming “Best Of” lists, while the wide variety of KCRW artists showing up for Grammy nominations have tended to split the difference across the airwaves. That said, late-breaking newcomers — experimental R&B songstress Liv.e and Patti-Smith-for-the-warehouse-party-set, Stella Explorer — are more than ready for the task of spicing things up.
