BADBADNOTGOOD makes a triumphant return to the top of the KCRW charts with their new single "Found A Light (Beale Street)." The track features the three-time Grammy-nominated, LA-based, and Memphis raised singer-songwriter-composer — V.C.R. Just behind at no. 2 is "Melodie Is A Wound," the second single ahead of Stereolab's forthcoming LP Instant Holograms on Metal Film. Now, to coin a phrase, you can't keep a good Polo & Pan down (insert rim-shot and/or groan here). The French duo's third album, 22:22 fell out of the top five very briefly only to jump back in at no. 3 this week. Swedish punk rockers Viagra Boys, and the always surprising SAULT round out the top five in spots no. 4 and 5 (respectively).
New and Notable: Aussie synth-rock legends Cut Copy return with "Solid," their first new music in over 5 years. It makes a respectable debut at no. 13. Meanwhile, Baltimore underground legends Turnstile find themselves squarely in the center at no. 15 with the double-single "SEEIN' STARS / BIRDS" (which are combined in this music video) — the former features vocals from Hayley Williams (Paramore) and Devonté Hynes (Blood Orange).
