Topping this week's chart is “I'm Not Ready for the Change,” the latest from NYC synthpop band Nation of Language. But wait, it gets better because the new single comes with the announcement of their 4th album (and Sub Pop debut) Dance Called Memory — due on September 19th. Coming in at no. 2 is another KCRW fave out of NYC, Say She She's “Cut & Rewind.” This is the title track to tease their politically-charged and dancefloor-ready third album. It's due on October 3rd via their new label home, drink sum wtr. Elsewhere in the Top 5, last week's chart-topper Little Simz falls into third place. 

New and Notable: 

So many debuts are rounding out our top ten this week, including the release of the earliest known live recording from Sly & The Family Stone — “I Gotta Go Now (Up On The Floor) / Funky Broadway.” Another striking top 10 first? The pleasant surprise single “Unicorn” from psych-pop duo RIO KOSTA (aka Mike Del Rio & Kosta Galanopoulos).
