Sudan Archives returns with "DEAD," her first new music since 2023's Natural Brown Prom Queen, and it's a dance floor-ready delight that KCRW DJs are taking to like ducks to water — easily making it our most played record of the week. Elsewhere in the top five, you'll find Stereolab holding firm at no. 3 alongside newcomers to the upper echelon: Pachyman, Turnstile, and El Michels Affair. 

New and Notable: 

Our June resident "feeling word of the day" reporters Brian Eno & Beatie Wolfe released two separate full albums — Luminal and Lateral — last week. Of the two, Luminal is racking up the most spins so far, enough to see it debut at no. 20. Will it remain next week, or might we see a Lateral move? Watch this space.
