Equus Caballus, the third album in as many months from Canadian dreampop band Men I Trust now sits atop the KCRW Top 30 Chart. Falling just behind, from their no. 1 position last week, are MIT's fellow Canadians BADBADNOTGOOD. Tall Tales, the new collaborative album from prolific British producer Mark Pritchard and Radiohead's Thom Yorke, lands (respectably) at no. 3. Cut Copy jumps nearly 10 spots(!) to take no. 4 for their new single "Solid." Meanwhile, Stereolab's "Melodie Is a Wound" is enjoying its fifth consecutive week in the top five.
New and Notable: One of LA's most in-demand DJs Bianca Oblivion settles into the top 10 following her FREAKS ONLY Guest Mix. For anyone who's been itching to hear Toro Y Moi fully cover a Broken Social Scene song (after he teased us mercilessly last year with that snippet of "Anthems For A Seventeen Year Old Girl" folded into his song "Heaven") ... well, let's just say that no. 14 on this list is for you ;) Plus, London producer/engineer DARGZ makes his chart debut on the strength of his new album Friends & Family.
