A year after the terrorist attacks in San Bernardino, many of those who were injured and some who were merely witnesses remain emotionally traumatized, physically unsound or both.

Press Enterprise reporter Suzanne Hurt has been following their recoveries. She says at least 36 of the victims have been back to work, while 16 are still on leave. “The few that can talk about what happened have difficulty talking about it,” she told KCRW. “There are people who are still recovering physically as well as emotionally and mentally,” she said.
