Hollywood has changed. Tax incentives around the country have lured big budget films away from the Golden State, taking workers away from home. Workers have followed, chasing the runaway production trend to hold on to their trades. How has this affected the culture and the business of Hollywood?

California recently increased its own incentive program to $330 million, but it’s not clear how much this helps the economy. “It’s still a drop in the bucket compared to other states,” said Masters.
