The LA Times reports the potential collapse of more than 1000 old concrete buildings endangers a cross-section of workers and residents–from factories downtown to high rises on Ventura Boulevard to condo towers on Westwood’s Miracle Mile. Retrofitting could cost more than the buildings are worth. Is there any economical way to prepare?
