A public defender says she’s gathering documents that show OC deputies used the same evidence to charge two completely different men with drug crimes in 2020.
It’s not the first time officers in the scandal-plagued OC Sheriff’s Department — or even the officers involved in this incident — have been accused of mishandling evidence.
