OC homeless deaths are still going up, activists want more action

As in LA County, the homeless population in Orange County has sharply increased over the last decade. Almost 400 homeless people died there in 2021. A decade ago, that number was closer to 100. OC supervisors voted unanimously in early February to commission a survey of the homeless population. But activists say what’s needed now isn’t more data but action.
