Republicans Rage Against the Liberal Media

Debate backlash and a budget deal in the Senate.

By Josh Barro • Oct 30, 2015 • 29m Listen

Republican presidential candidates claimed liberal bias in the CNBC debate. The RNC cancelled their partnership with NBC News for a debate in February. Are they right? Were the CNBC moderators out of line in their questioning? Should we expect to see a change in how the debates are conducted in the future? Brian Beutler of the New Republic transcribed the questions and found them to be quite substantive. Josh Barro declares he may have been the only person to think the question about fantasy football regulation directed at Jeb Bush was worthwhile. Early Friday morning the Senate passed a two-year budget that should calm Washington for 17 months. Is it a good deal?

Josh Barro (domestic correspondent for the New York Times) moderates from the Center. Rich Lowry (National Review) is on the Right. On the Left is Joan Walsh (The Nation / MSNBC). Megan McArdle (Bloomberg View) is our special guest.
