Inside the Broad Museum

You’ve probably seen the outside of the brand new Broad Museum with its honeycombed, futuristic skin that envelops the building. We go inside the museum for a sneak peak before the grand opening this weekend.

Sculptures and paintings from Japanese artist Takashi Murakami occupy a gallery on the first floor of the brand new Broad Museum in Downtown Los Angeles.

"Tulips" by Jeff Koons greets visitors at the top of a 105 ft escalator on the third floor of The Broad.

Ghanian artist El Anatsui wove thousands of discarded liquor labels together for this tapestry on display now at The Broad. The so-called "veil" of the museum can be seen in the background.

Most of Edythe and Eli Broad's art collection will be stored on the second floor of the museum. Visitors can peak into the collection through windows as they descend from the third floor gallery to the first floor.
