Susanne Bier on Directing the Bond-like 'Night Manager'

The Night Manager, a six-part miniseries based on the John le Carré novel of the same name, a night manager of an Egyptian hotel is recruited by intelligence agents to infiltrate the network of an international arms dealer. The night manager, Jonathan Pine, is played by the actor and rumored next James Bond, Tom Hiddleston. The $30 million production, directed by Danish filmmaker Susanne Bier, is as sleek and action-packed as any Bond film. We’ll speak with Bier about how making The Night Manager was like making one giant film, and why she likes directing action flicks.
