A lot of the migrants trying to cross the border come from El Salvador. It’s a dangerous country, and California Governor Gavin Newsom is there this week to understand the migrant crisis. The trip comes after President Trump recently announced he will cut off aid to El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras because he believes they aren’t doing enough to stem the flow of migrants to the U.S.
