For conservatives in red states and elsewhere, new restrictions on coal-fired power plants are just the latest outrage from the Obama Administration’s EPA. One response to calls for conserving energy is to be conspicuous about using more than you need.

A YouTube video shot from a moving diesel pickup shows a high-mileage Toyota Prius pulling up from behind. After a few seconds, the truck revs its engine, and black smoke pours out of dual exhaust stacks on the truck bed as the Prius retreats.

That’s an example of “Prius Repellant”—just one example of conservative anger at liberals, President Obama and the EPA—according to David Weigel with Slate.
